Q: OS X 10.7 Lion nicht mehr im AppStore

Ich wollte mir die Lion Installationsdatei heute herunterladen, die ich vor ca. 2 Jahren gekauft habe, da ich meinen alten iMac neu aufsetzen möchte.

Leider musste ich feststellen, dass sie nicht mehr vorhanden ist unter meinen "gekauften Artikeln", wie das sonst der Fall war (Mountain Lion übrigens auch nicht mehr).

Der USB-Bootstick, auf dem ich die Datei hatte, ist leider defekt.

Gibt es noch andere Möglichkeiten oder Wege an die Datei zu kommen?

Sonst werde ich wohl mal beim Support anrufen müssen.

What is the exact iMac that you have? Did it come with Lion installed?

It's an iMac G5. He came with Tiger. Lion is now installed but he's very slowly... that's why the new installation.

If Lion is not in 'hidden purchases' the only option then is to contact Apple directly. I do not know of any way to download Lion without paying for it again.

What you might try is to boot into the recovery partition and install Lion on an external HDD. Also check the iMac HDD in Disk Utility>First Aid to see if it is healthy or not. You can always clone back the OSX into the iMac using Disk Utility>Restore.

Then you have to decide how you want to deal with your data.
