Does deleting photos from all devices also mean deleting from my Macbook?

I want to free up space on my iPhone, but I am worried about permanently losing photos I've taken.

If I select a bunch of photos to delete, I get the message These photos will be deleted from iCloud photo library on all your devices.

However, I just want to delete them from my Phone, not say, my iPad or MacBook.

Will deleting the Photos in this way cause me to lose the photos I have stored on my MacBook? If so, how can I delete photos from my Phone but not risk deleting them elsewhere?

Many thanks

With iCloud Photo Library if you delete a photo from anywhere it is deleted from iCloud and from every device which is connected to that iCloud Photo Library -- that includes Photos on your Mac if you have Photos > Preferences > iCloud Photo Library turned on there. The way that you reduce the storage space required for photos on your phone is to turn on Settings > iCloud > Photos > Optimize iPhone Storage.

Unless you give us details we have no idea - if you are using iCloud Photo Library (and from the very limited information you posted I'm guessing you may be) then that is your library and any change (addition, edit or deletion) anywhere is reflected everywhere - for devices with limited storage you se optimized photos for it

If you do not want to share photos completely including all modifications then do not use icloud Photos Library - Use iTunes Sync to sync only selected photos with no connection so that additional edits etc are not applied to the other devices
