Q: I think I uploaded my photos on my ipad 2 to the cloud.  How can I check and how can I delete the photos from my ipad to save space?

I Have a ipad 2 with ios9.  I think I uploaded m local photos to icloud.  How can I tell if I was successful?  How do I delete the photos from my local ipad without deleting them from icloud.  How do I access my photos from icloud?

If you turned on iCloud Photo Library you can go to Settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library and that will show the upload progress or status (just above Optimize iPad Storage). You can use a computer and log in to https://www.icloud.com/ and click on Photos to see your photos in iCloud.

With iCloud Photo Library, if you delete photos from your iPad they will also be deleted from iCloud (and from any other device connected to that iCloud Photo Library). There is no option to have them stored only on iCloud. The most you can do to reduce the storage space required on your iPad is to turn on Settings > iCloud > Photos > Optimize iPad Storage -- and that is quite effective. But if you require cloud-only storage there are 3rd party services that offer that option (e.g., Dropbox, Flickr, OneDrive).
