Apple suggested "slide to upgrade" solution won't work for me

Dear Support Community:

I've been stuck at the "slide to upgrade" screen for days now.

When I connect ti iTunes i get the following messages that will not allow me to proceed:

Back Up Now: iTunes could not back up the iPad because it has not been set up yet

Restore iPad: Find my iPad must be turned off before it can be restored.

Go to iCloud Settings on your iPad and turn off Find My iPad before restoring your iPad

May I suggest you guys come up with a temporary iTunes version that will solve the problem by clicking on a singe button.

Best regards!

iPad Mini, iOS 9

We are all fellow users here and not Apple employees, Apple does not participate.

If the instructions in http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205239 do not work for you, it may be necessary to use the DFU mode to wipe the iPad, and then restore from a backup.

Attache the USB cable to a computer running iTunes but Do NOT attach to the iPad.

Press and and hold the Home button, and while holding the button attach the USB cable.

COntinue holding the button until the message to connect to iTunes appears, then release the Home button.

At the recovery mode message proceed to setup as new.

Apple emailed me a link to your page . It seems Apple can't be bothered to put an announcement on the forum but seem happy to use "users" to help out. I have been a fan since 2007 . Their lack of help is truly appalling . I have now been trying to back up my 16 g phone for 11 hours and its still at stage 2 of 4 . I still don't know if the phone is being backed up or still frozen .

Seems the $ 500 billion company does not care about its customers anymore .

Disappointed in their attitude .
