Jan 24, 2016 9:14 AM in response to Midloby elessca, thanks, midlo! it was worrying for a while but yes i agree with you on how that actually happened.
hope Apple tests all the upgrades before releasing cos all of us sure wasted lots of time trying to find suitable solutions..

Jan 29, 2016 4:50 PM in response to elesscaby DaveZoso, click edit, then trim a teeny portion of the video off the beginning or end of the video, then click done and then trim original. The video will save in the original format. This is the easiest fix.

Mar 31, 2016 3:33 AM in response to merdi8by japius,MY wife's iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3 has done this to her videos. The edit work around is not a practical solution. I accept some iOS releases will have bugs but surely they check the basics like peoples photo albums etc. When will an actual fix be available?

Apr 10, 2016 1:19 PM in response to merdi8by Megatron2016,I just noticed this today. All my iphone 5 videos are cut off at the top and are useless. How do I report this as a bug too? I want my full size videos back!

Apr 10, 2016 1:52 PM in response to Megatron2016by GlastoEls,I discussed this with Apple on the phone and they recommended clicking the Share button on each video and then Duplicate.
This creates an exact duplicate of the video and displays it properly.
The only downside is that you'll have a copy of that video appearing chronologicallh as today in your Camera Roll, but crucially, it will appear in the correct position chronologically n the Videos folder.

Apr 10, 2016 3:03 PM in response to GlastoElsby LisaT91403,Clicking the Share button, then Duplicate, worked for about 15 videos. After that, I started to get a message each time saying "Unable to Duplicate. An error occurred while duplicating this photo. Please try again later."
Even it if were working, I have hundreds and hundreds of videos. This process will take forever. I don't understand why we have to try a "work around" instead of Apple actually fixing the problem they created.

May 17, 2016 8:16 PM in response to merdi8by allbomb,I'be had the same problem. I have been waiting for an update to fix this issue and am amazed that Apple has become so relaxed in its customer service that this would be allowed to go on for so long.

May 17, 2016 9:11 PM in response to GlastoElsby BBoiss,That's no good. Doesn't sound like the advice a senior advisor would give if they were working with an engineer. I would contact Apple again on this issue, and ask for a senior advisor. They will stick with you until the issue is resolved and confirmed as such. This includes investigation logs that may need to be sent up to engineering to better understand the cause of the issue.
If they aren't told about it, they won't know about it. It isn't an issue that the vast majority are experiencing so it could easily slip under the rug.
