Did the number of apps that are displayed within a folder on the Home Screen change recently? I know on iPhone it's 9, but on my iPad the app icons seemed to have shrunk, and there's more room for additional ones, like 16. it makes it very difficult to see.

iPad had a previous maximum of 9 apps per folder. In iOS 9, that has increased to 16. Yes, it makes the app icons harder to read when viewed on the folder itself. This is not a user-configurable setting so you'll just have to cope.

As tough as they may be to see now, you may want to use the search feature to find the app that you need. I have found that to be so much more useful than trying to remember what folder I stuffed an app into anyway,
