Notes on MacBook Not Syncing with iCloud

Hi gang.

Anyone else having an issue with Notes syncing with your laptop? I'm on a MacBook Air running 10.10.5, iPhone 6 and older iPad running OS 9.0.

If I edit a note on my laptop, it doesn't sync to iCloud (through a web browser), nor the iPhone or iPad. Vice versa, if I edit a note in iCloud, or on my iPhone or iPad, it isn't reflected on my laptop. Seems like iCloud and my phone and iPad are all on the same page, but the laptop isn't getting the info (or communicating the info either).

I've gone into iCloud in Sys Prefs and turned Notes off, restarted, turned them on, and every other variety of those things. I've logged out of iCloud and deleted Notes, Mail, Calendars, etc. from the MacBook, and signed back in and (supposedly) had them all loaded back from iCloud. But that's obviously not happening either.

I figure I'll just have to use Notes in iCloud or my phone or iPad till Apple resolves it... unless anyone else has an idea.

Thanks.

J.

The new version of Notes in iOS 9 is not backwards-compatible to the old version of Notes on Yosemite. To gain compatibility, you'll need to use the version that will come out with El Capitan.

Actually, that is not completely correct.

The new version of Notes in iOS 9 uses a new format that is not compatible with Yosemite. However, when first using Notes in iOS 9, you are offered the opportunity to upgrade the format. Declining this option until El Capitan is released would allow iOS 9 Notes to remain compatible with Yosemite.
