My wife installed os9 and half way through a black screen and now can do nothing
was invited to upgrade to OS9. Did and when upgrading just received a black screen and can do nothing to change this!

If iOS 9 update failed and screen goes black you need to factory reset your iPad from iTune. Connect your iPad to itune from Cable and factory reset your wife iPad here is the steps
