Q: Mackbook (13in 2006)

I currently have a MacBook, Mac OS X, v10.7.5, processor 1.83 ghz w/2gb of memory.

Anyway, recently, whenever I enter any of my browsers, Safari or Firefox, I keep getting a popup that will not let me 'X' out and tells me there is a virus on the computer - to clean it, I will have to call Customer service.

Unfortunately, I am 1) Not on my computer and, 2) Unable to take a snapshot. The pop up doesn't allow me to utilize any of my computers features, so taking the snapshot makes it harder. I'll try to type in the information when it pops up again .

I have emptied my trash bin, I've done a secure trash empty as well, I've restarted my computer and I've let it sit, turned off, for a few days. For several days, the block still came up.

Has anyone ever had this issue? Does anyone know what I am referring to? Does anyone have any idea how I can "clean" up my hard drive, get my computer running faster.
