Sep 21, 2015 4:40 AM in response to RevSteve2013by Kilgore-Trout,- Update the Pages app if you have not already.
- Try a forced restart: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the restart.
- You might also want to clarify what exactly "can't convert" means. What happens when you try? Any error messages?

Sep 21, 2015 12:55 PM in response to Kilgore-Troutby RevSteve2013,What I meant by, "can't convert" is this:
1. A Pages document is open.
2. I select to send a copy.
3. I select to send it as a Word document.
4. The bar that shows the progress of the conversion to Word hangs up at about 20% and never completes.
5. There is no error message.
All other conversion options, like PDF, in this process work fine.
I have also just discovered that the same thing happens in ios 9 Numbers in this same sequence for this same process, and, once again, all other conversion options work fine.
On my iMac, I have not been given the option to upgrade to the new OSX, and this process woks just fine in Pages and Numbers on that machine.
Hence, apparently it is a problem only in ios 9 in this process that only affects Microsoft Office programs.
Thoughts?

Sep 22, 2015 3:59 AM in response to RevSteve2013by BlackPadOne,Strange, but my case switching off Wi-Fi before converting will do it...
iPad mini Wi-Fi, iOS 9, Pages 2.5.5

Sep 22, 2015 4:47 AM in response to RevSteve2013by jocelyn51,Really weird but yes, switching off the WiFi did work on my IPAD for both Numbers and Pages.

Sep 22, 2015 5:58 AM in response to jocelyn51by RevSteve2013,Unfortunately, the switching off of Wi-Fi before converting didn't help. Has the forced-restart suggestion helped anyone with this problem? Thanks!

Sep 23, 2015 6:19 AM in response to RevSteve2013by downgrad3r,I've actually avoided iOS 9 for such reasons. Stripping away the ability to sync Notes from iPhones to Macs via iTunes was beyond egregious in my view (though that was a Mac OS issue). I believe that happened when updating to Mountain Lion 10.8 back in 2012. Apple did this without providing users with any form of notice. As to iTunes updates, they usually render many apps unusable for a time, and I recently read that it is best to wait for the next iterative version of a major release (eg, iOS 9.1) before updating. Of course, that doesn't help anyone who has already done so. Perhaps the suggestion in the linked forum will benefit those affected.

Sep 24, 2015 10:25 AM in response to RevSteve2013by pastordgwoods,I appeared to have the same problem as well. I tried resetting my iPad mini 2 and it didn't fix anything. But then, I decided just to leave it ... and after a couple minutes it did convert and I was able to send it where I wanted.

Sep 24, 2015 10:52 AM in response to RevSteve2013by Ajandhap,Have tried switching off wifi again: It works if you close the pages document then choose the share icon and select the document. Once it's attached to the Email press send, go back to settings and turn wifi back on. It's a bit long winded but at least it makes it possible.

DesktopsI have the same problem on both iPhone 6 + and iPad. The bar goes about 20% of the way and then it all stops.
