Q: Iphone 5c frozen slide to upgrade screen. Out of ideas, its been 5 hours. Help.

My Iphone 5C wont let me get past the chose wifi screen before it goes white and goes to a slide to update screen where I cant slide. I have tried so many things including restoring from itunes or just downloading it completely from itunes. However, it wont let me because I need to turn off find my iphone on my device, which is stuck on a white slide to update page. I even deleted my device from icloud.com find my iphone app because I heard that may help. But it did not. So here I am. A senior in college with school, a job, and an internship with no phone and no apple store within 3 hours of me. I need help. I have been working on this for 5 hours now an it is past 1AM. Here is to a terrible start to a long week.

I have tried everything on there twice. Nothing. I cant turn off find my iphone, so it wont let me restore. And it wont let me restore to last back up because it says I do not have enough storage available on my phone, even though there is 5gb available...

Go to iCloud.com to turn off Find My iPhone and to remove the device from your iCloud account:

Sign in to your iCloud ID on iCloud.com on a computer. Click on the Find My iPhone app. Select your device, and then click on Erase. Once it is erased, click on Remove to remove it from the iCloud account. If you are successful getting it erased this way, then once you have restored it, you can turn Find My iPhone back on and it will link back up to your iCloud account.

I had to go through this process also but its still saying mine isn't turned off. Do you have any other ideas on how to fix this??

Ive been working on this for hours. No luck! Mine won't even let me do a back up and I haven't in months! My own fault but I'm tired of trying and ready to just go with it. But now its not allowing me to because of the find my phone thing... even though its off!!!! HELP!

So you erased the device from iCloud.com? Did you also remove it from the iCloud account?
