Missing podcast Episodes

After some issues with my website and feed, I resubmitted my feed: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/netmixglobalhousesessions

However, I am now missing all podcast episodes, except the latest (#18), under that feed URL and I'm not sure why.

Can someone please help me understand why my podcast episodes are missing and how to resubmit them?

Looking at the feed, there are twenty episodes there, including episode 18 poster today. All these episodes also appear when subscribing manually in iTunes.

You have not given the iTunes Store URL for your podcast. Searching on its title produces no result, suggesting that if it was in the Store in the first place it has been removed (if this is the case you should have received an email telling you it has been removed, though usually not why).

Removal seems highly likely as from the look of the feed your podcast consists of 'mixes' from commercially issued recordings: this is a breach of copyright and also against the Terms of Use for podcasting; podcasts which do this get removed once detected.

Hi Roger,

Here is the iTunes Store URL: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/netmix-global-house-sessions/id919358000

Here is the original feed going into feedburner, which I cited already: http://netmix.com/category/podcast/netmix-global-house-sessions/feed/

No, I haven't gotten a delisting notification, as Netmix Global House Sessions still appears in the iTunes Store.

The feed you originally quoted,

http://feeds2.feedburner.com/netmixglobalhousesessions

is the same as the feed you quote above,

http://netmix.com/category/podcast/netmix-global-house-sessions/feed/

and its title is 'Netmix Global House Sessions Podcast' - when I searched on that there was no such podcast in the Store. These feeds both contain the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag redirecting to the netmix.com feed - in effect itself.

However the Store page at the URL you give above leads to a podcast page called 'Netmix. com' which is using the feed at

https://feeds.feedburner.com/netmix

This has only one episode with playable media, episode 18; the remaining episodes have no playable media and so are ignored by iTunes. This feed does not have the 'iTunes declaration' in the top of the feed so no 'itunes:...' tags will work. I can't tell what is the original feed submitted to Feedburner to produce this feed, but you need to replace that with a copy of the netmix.com feed I link to above, so that the Store and iTunes will then be redirected to that feed. After a couple of weeks you should change the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag to point to the first Feedburner feed I quote (assuming you want to use the Feedburner version). Either that or copy all the episodes from the original feed into this feed, but you will need also to make sure it contains the iTunes declaration:

<rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0">

Okay, that makes sense. I see where I'm conflicting in Feeburner with two feeds.

The first is: https://feeds.feedburner.com/netmix

With an original feed URL of http://netmix.com/feed

The second is: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/netmixglobalhousesessions

With an original feed URL of http://netmix.com/category/podcast/netmix-global-house-sessions/feed/

So, I'm going to delete the second feed, since it's not even being used by iTunes, and make the first feed original URL http://netmix.com/category/podcast/netmix-global-house-sessions/feed/ and that should solve the problem.

I'm working with the Blbrry podcasting plugin for WordPress, which provides a way to have multiple podcast feeds. I guess I confused myself, but with your guidance, it's more clear to me where I went wrong and can now fix.

Thanks for working through this with me, much appreciated. Hopefully, by simply changing the Original feed URL at Feedburner, that will pass through the first feed URL above and correct everything.
