Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I understand that you have an app that is ghosted out on the screen, and are unable to delete it in order to restart the download. To start, I suggest that you restart your iPhone. After restarting you should be able to delete the ghosted out Pandora app, and then redownload it.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Tap and hold on the app until it jiggles.
- Tap the X in the upper-left corner to delete.
You might be asked to confirm that you want to delete the app. If you see a pop-up that says, "Deleting [app name] will also delete all of its data," tap Delete.

Take care.
