Q: I cannot delete pics or videos from my iphone 6 plus

I have pictures and videos in a folder on my iphone 6 plus.  The folder or even individual pics or videos cannot be deleted.  When I got to iTunes, there isn't even a phone icon under the "On My Device" section. Therefore, there is no way for me to de-select the folder.  If I go to the photos icon under settings - it is all grayed out - I have no folders selected to sync. Therefore, I cannot select and delete anything and sync again.

    Greetings GoPre400,

Thank you for posting your question in the Apple Support Communities! We’re glad you’re here!

It does sound like the folder on your iPhone that has pictures and videos you cannot delete was at one time synced over to your iPhone from a computer. If you have no folders selected to sync while looking at the Photos pane in iTunes, please follow the steps in the attached article to resolve this issue.

Delete photos and video synced from iTunes when you can’t access the originals - Apple Support

I like to have my photos organized the way I want them on my iOS devices too and know how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t work the way you would expect. We are here to help with these types of situations though and we look forward to your continued involvement in the Apple Support Communities!

If these steps helped, please be sure to reply and let us know. :)

    Cheers!
