Overheting

I had fallen asleep for about an half maybe two hours with FaceTime and tumblr open, when I woke up my phone was really warm even outside my otterbox case. So I unplugged it from the charger and took off the case and let it cool, I'm concerned that I might have missed a temperature warning. Is my phone going to be okay? Is the internal damaged? Please help I'm very worried, but it's working fine right now. Thank you.

From your post I see that you're concerned about the temperature on your iPhone. It is normal when using the iPhone to become warm, as the exterior of the iPhone functions as a heat sink. To learn more about temperature warnings please take a look at the link below.
