My Mac mini (March 2009, with OSX.6.8) is unable to connect to a wireless network using Airport. The cable company is clear that the problem is with its wireless adaptor driver (My iPhone and iPad can connect to the wireless network) How can I find or update a wireless driver adaptor?

If your cable company is clear the problem is with their wireless adaptor driver, then you need to speak to them about updates to it. In the meantime, your MM has an Ethernet connection, have you connected to your router via Ethernet and changed the Network System Preference to have Ethernet in the top position?
If you mean the wifi adopter built into the Mac what does this show?

Yes, the cable company is clear - its person says that the problem is with my Mac's driver; they spent quite a while with me changing numerous settings on their website regarding my connection. They insist that I need to talk with Apple (but this computer is now 'vintage'). The computer can 'see' the wireless networks. But, on entering the WPA password it instantly returns 'connection failed'. The password is correct because it's printed on the wireless router/ cable modem.
Thanks very much for your advice. But I can't find the wireless diagnostics. Alt and the wireless icon leads to a drop-down menu that lists the wireless networks in range - but not any diagnostic tool. Can you help me to locate this please?

Guys.......you can provide the link as many times as you want, but it appears that you may be overlooking the fact that Wireless Diagnostics was never a part of OS X (10.6.8).
Did you find an answer to your question, or is the issue still an issue?
