Q: Cannot View App Store Account

For at least a week now, and probably longer, I have had some major issues with the App Store.

After launching the App Store app, more often than not, I am unable to connect to the App Store. The progress wheel will rotate for a while, but eventually it will time out, and I am left with a blank App Store window, with the large, gray app icon in the middle of it, and the five grayed-out icons at the top of the window; i.e., Featured, Top Charts, Categories, Purchased and Updates.

At other times, the progress wheel will stop, and then below the large, gray app icon in the middle of the window it will say "Cannot Connect to the App Store".

This has happened repeatedly over many days to the point of frustration. I don't know if this is simply due to Internet congestion, or to the possibility that Apple's servers are simply being overloaded, or what. However, I do not have any problem using the Mail app, using my web browser to go to any other part of the web, using FaceTime, etc., so I am certain that it has nothing to do with my Internet connection, which is broadband.

Sometimes rebooting my machine will allow me to connect to the App Store, but not always. Furthermore, it should not be necessary for me to have to reboot, just to connect to the App Store.

But this is not the only problem.

This morning I wanted to unhide some of the purchases I had made in the past. So following the instructions I found on this page . . .

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202320

. . . I launched the App Store. I am already logged in by default.

However, regardless of whether I click on the "Account" link that is located on the right side of the window, or click on the "View My Account" option under the "Store" menu at the top my screen, after I enter my Apple ID password, absolutely nothing happens. I am not taken to my account page so that I can manage and unhide certain purchases.

I have tried multiple times without positive results.

And now I have to reboot again, because I can't connect to the App Store again.

This is very frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced any of the above? If so, how did you resolve it?

BTW, out of frustration, I even deleted the six App Store related folders in ~/Library/Caches/ and rebooted my machine so that the App Store app could recreate those folders and files, and that STILL did not help. I am still having the same issues as noted above.
