I need help I don't feel like factory resetting it or paying big bucks to take it in and get it fixed. Plz help I got a lot of important stuff on there. And yes I've tried holding the power and the home button together, it doesn't do jack

You will very likely have to restore the device which does erase the device. You can go the Genius bar of an Apple store. They MAY be able to help

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

So if I do a factory reset will I still be able to install my previous apps from before? Because I'm willing to do anything to get it working. And I'm also guessing that I'll have to put all my music back on it. Which takes hours. I've did some searching and found a few things I could try. I'm going to try those and if they don't work I'm going to factory reset it.
