After updating my software to iOS9 my screen is now stuck on "slide to upgrade" screen. I followed the instructions off Apple which told me to gain access to my iPod through iTunes on the computer. I am not able to do this due to passcode? Any help?

When I tried this earlier it wouldn't let me connect to my computer as I have a passcode on my iPod? Is there any way around this?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
