iOS9 rendered my 64GB iPad 2 useless

Thank you Apple! Do you even test the software before you release anymore?

I have been a loyal Mac user since 1988. At this moment I am questioning my choice.

I have an iPad 2, 64GB that your new iOS release has just rendered useless. I can never get past the "Slide to Upgrade". Well, actually I can, the first time. It then tells me that it is done, just a few more steps, then it resets and locks up back on the "Slide to Update" screen AGAIN!

I have reset and restored it so often through iTunes on my MacBook now I have a headache.

Now I can not reset the iPad because it states that I have to turn off "Find my iPad" through the iCloud settings on my iPad before I can restore or reset it again. Tell me, how am I suppose to do this if I can not get into the iPad?

This iPad has all my children's apps and games as well as many of my own. This needs to be rectified, and soon.

I have read through and tried your solutions to other members, they have not worked!

I would like to think that Apple can fix this, if not then I think Apple can replace my iPad free of charge being as it had no issues prior to this "Update"!

Someone obviously missed your post. You are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user forum, and everyone here are volunteers. See this Apple Support document regarding this Slide to Upgrade error. This will also help you update your device to iOS 9.0.1 that fixes the error and a couple of other minor errors. I have contacted Apple directly and this worked for me. If your device was stuck like mine was follow this.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

This will put your device into recovery mode. After this you can update to the new 9.0.1 update that will fix the "Slide to Upgrade" error.

Just follow the screen prompts in iTunes.
