iPhone Dropped - Screen Has Black Inkblot-Like Spot Slowly Spreading

As I was trying to take my iPhone out of it's case, the phone went flying across the room and landed face-first. The screen is already cracked, but now a black inkblot-like spot is slowly spreading down the side of the screen. It'snot particularly thick or noticeably, but it is certainly spreading. Does anyone know what this is, and does anyone know if it's possible to get it fixed with Apple Care +?

iPhone 6, iOS 9

It's probably a damage of the LCD screen. If you purchased AppleCare+ then you get two incidents of accidental damage. The fee to get a replacement is $79. Best is to make an appointment at an Apple Store and they should be able to replace it on the spot. Be sure to back up before taking it in.

If you didn't purchase AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchasing the iPhone then your only other option is an out of warranty replacement which for an iPhone 6 is $299.
