Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone is taking a while to charge. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.
Is the phone having the same trouble charging from all places you have tried to charge it from?
Charge your iPhone and iPod touch - Apple Support
- Power outlet: Use a USB power adapter and connect to a power outlet.
- Computer: Make sure your computer is on and not in sleep mode, then connect to a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port. Don’t use the USB ports on your keyboard.
- Other USB power source: You can use a powered USB hub, docking station, or other accessory to charge your device.
If you can’t charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Try a different USB cable, USB power adapter, or USB port.
- If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
- If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, force your device to restart.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Take care
