iTunes Error 9039 and Other Problems

I have been using Apple Music since it was launched, and it works fine on my iPhone, but I cannot get it to work correctly on my Mac. None of the tracks or playlists I add on my iPhone sync back to my Mac. On iTunes on the Mac, the iCloud Status says "Waiting" against all the tracks, but I can access all the tracks from my iTunes Library on my phone.


In iTunes I can see all the tabs etc for Apple Music, but when I try to add a track or playlist to My Music, they don't appear. Since iTunes version 12.3 I get an error 9039 whenever I try to add something. I have tried signing in and out of my account, and I have repeatedly turned iCloud Music Library on and off, but nothing seems to work. I have tried creating a new Library, without any of my music in it, but it still won't let me add tracks from Apple Music.


Unfortunately, I am not prepared to pay for a service that doesn't work, so I guess I won't be subscribing after the 3 month free trial runs out.
