Q: iOS 9, iTunes 12.3: Local Sync of MS Outlook Notes Gone
Understanding that iOS 9 released with the Enhanced Notes feature, one has the option to decline to update to Enhanced Notes ... which I have done.
It would seem to me that if users decline to update Notes on iOS 9, the Sync Outlook Notes (see example image below) should remain visible. I can understand that if one updated to Enhanced Notes, the option would disappear for compatibility reasons, but it should remain visible until such a time as the user decides to upgrade.
As it stands, having done an in-place update to iOS 9, I can still sync my devices via iTunes and the Notes are sync'ed with MS Outlook during Step 3 of the sync. However, factory resetting the device or rebuilding my PC will effectively remove my ability to locally sync MS Outlook Notes.
Appreciating that most folks are jumping onto the "cloud" train, I choose not to for various reasons ... so I'd appreciated it if those "advocates" of storing data on someone (company) else's computer (aka cloud) would refrain from posting replies suggesting I not sync locally /w MS Outlook and that I join the lemmings and use the cloud.
