Apple WatchHi Dean
- Check that your iPhone is updated to iOS 9.
- Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi (and preferably also to power).
- Keep your iPhone next to your Apple Watch to make sure they're in range.
- Connect your Apple Watch to power, and keep it on the charger until the update is complete.
- Ensure that your Apple Watch has at least a 50 percent charge before starting.

Sep 22, 2015 10:06 AM in response to deanfromhaywardby deanfromhayward,I had done all the recommendations already. But in the end it just took time. After many retries, it finally worked. I had to restart the update once. And in the end it took over 4 hours. I guess the Apple servers were beyond overloaded.
