    Hi! Try the steps below.

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your device. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.

HI - thanks for the rapid reply - I've tried all the steps and spent 35mins on phone to support without resolution.

I Daren't do restore or I'll lose all the photos - treasured memories of late father - not backed up!

PRobably have to go in store for help.

I've found 3 software tools online which claim to be able to extract the photos - quite expensive and unsure if trustworthy!

    thanks again

Ios 9 is the perfect virus….

Following the steps above takes you back to the loop.

Attempting a reset results in iTunes telling the user that the reset can't occur until they go on to the iPad AND turn off "find my iPad"…….

Attempting to contact apple stalls when you are unable to provide them with a serial number for your iPad, because IT'S FROZEN IN A LOOP CREATED BY APPLE'S VIRUS………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, love me tender and call me Elvis…!

    How old are you…?

I found some text on the back of the device (thanks for that) but there is no way I can read it….!

Might just drop it in to the local tech. for their professional opinion...

    Cheers...
