iOS 9 Transition Effects Disappearing Suddenly - iPhone 6

Hi,

I have installed iOS 9 on my iPhone 6 . After the update I have observed that transition effects disappear all of a sudden when I use my iPhone. I have to restart iPhone for the transition effects to get back. I tried resetting my device and also tried a restore option. I dont see this issue on my iPad. Its only on iPhone 6 .

Anyone came across this issue on iPhone 6 ?

I started having the same problem once I updated my (AT&T) iPhone 6 Plus to iOS9, thought the problem maybe a small bug and would be fixed in subsequent updates but after updating OTA to iOS 9.1, the problem still persists. Tried "Setting up as new iPhone" already once at the Apple Store(iOS9), and reluctant to do it again unless the problem can be fixed for sure.

I do not have "Low Power Mode" enabled on my phone. The disappearing transitions will happen any time even if my battery still has 50% charge.

Same problem here. The transitions stop for no reason and do not start back again . Quick fix is to restart the phone but it becomes quite irritating doing this twice a day. Point to note is that the transition with problems are from home screen to app transactions, or app to app transitions, or home screen to multitasking pane transitions. transitions within apps do not have a problem e.g. sliding from one settings pane into another works ok

Apple, please provide a solution. This is a major flaw in the UI

I have the same issue on my iPhone 6 with ios 9.1. Recently, the need to reboot the phone (to enable these transitions again) has become more frequent than before. I was contemplating a restore, but reading this post, I have changed my mind.

Its likely a memory leak in ios 9 and I am hoping Apple fixes this with ios 9.2. Can anyone using ios 9.2 beta (preferably on iphone 6) confirm? In the last few years, the new ios updates have been buggier than usual. 😟

Same with me. I even went to the apple store and they told me there is some issue with my backup. I made a new backup and then restored; but to no avail. The issue persists.

It happens even when I open an apps folder. The smooth transitions just don't appear unless I restart the phone. The problem won't show up for 4-5 days and then abruptly, the transition effects just stop!

One more thing happens along with this. When I click on the lock button, the screen switches off and then just for a split second switches on (so that I can see the lock screen) and switches off again.

Please address this, apple. Is this a defect in the phone? Or a software bug from your end? My warranty also ends in 30 days. I don't want to spend hefty sums on getting the phone repaired (if this is an issue with my phone).

Am having this issue since day 1, I have updated to iOS9.0 on iPhone6. Initially I thought it must be only with my device, then came my new iphone6S+, migrated the data on to it and i see the same issue on 6s+ too.

I waited for 9.1, hoping this issue would be addressed and resolved, the issue still existed...then 9.1.1, the same case, still no luck

Today updated to 9,2, still facing the issue. After today's update, i am infact facing this issue more frequentl, than the previous upgrades, earlier the frequency was once in 2-3 days, now it's resurfaces with an hour with iOS9.2. In the past 5 hrs after upgrade to iOS9.2, i have restarted my device more than 5 time to get rid of this issue. I am tired. I don't think apple has any clues about this issue or this issue is not impacting bigger group of audeience and is being treated as a low priority issue.

This issue is very irritating and disabled the animations. Every thing becomes superfast.

Apple, have a look into this issue at the earliest.
