Q: iOS 9 Transition Effects Disappearing Suddenly - iPhone 6

Hi,

I have installed iOS 9 on my iPhone 6 . After the update I have observed that transition effects disappear all of a sudden when I use my iPhone. I have to restart iPhone for the transition effects to get back. I tried resetting my device and also tried a restore option. I dont see this issue on my iPad. Its only on iPhone 6 .

Anyone came across this issue on iPhone 6 ?

iPhone 6, iOS 9, null

I have been facing the same issue since a few months now and no permanent resolution so far. I'm on iOS 9.3.1 now and the issue is there since last couple of releases. The temporary fix that I use to get by this issue is resetting the phone but this becomes annoying if done multiple times a day. Apple!! Can you please take note of this desperate request and help provide a permanent fix to this bug. There are tens of people in my vicinity who face the same issue and I'm sure there will be thousand more. My point being that this is a known issue and is there for so long now, therefore a permanent fix is what is needed now. Either that, or give us a way around which is less annoying than resetting the phone. Thank you!

I am using iOS 9.3.1 on my iPhone SE. I'm having the same problem. A restart fixes it temporarily. But it is very annoying and disappointing as I'm using iPhone for the first time.

I bought iPhone 5S a couple of days back(May 08 2016 ) and I'm in IOS 9.3.1. I started facing the same issue from day one. But in this same thread i saw someone said that assistive touch was the culprit of this problem and not having it at the bottom of the screen prevented the issue. following the same from yesterday and i didn't encounter the issue after that. Also i stopped using spotlight search. I badly need Apple to fix this issue in IOS 9.3.2 at any cost since I personally believe using Apple products is all about user experience and this bug is ruining it.

Filed a bug report for this way back in November,2015 . Was marked as a duplicate since someone already reported it . The original bug is still in open status .

I am not having this issue, but working in a support field have never heard of such reports being an issue for customers so I thought I would take a peak.

Some things that came to mind on this were About iPhone Low Power Mode - Apple Support - iOS 9 introduced a feature called Low Power Mode, you can either enable this yourself through Settings>Battery or you will be prompted to enable it when your battery decreases to 20% and again at 10% if you did not enable it at 20%. As you see, it is listed that some visual effects will be disabled while this feature is enabled in an effort to save battery.

You can also trigger this to be toggled off through Settings>General>Accessibility under VISION. If you turn "Reduce Motion" on, you will lose those animations as well.

If none of you have contacted AppleCare Phone Support about this matter yet after reviewing my suggestions and finding your issue is still continuing, I would recommend you do so. As of yet, I have not seen a comment about anyone speaking to the people who make the product. That might me a start guys! Their phone service has been free for nearly a year now and they can gather logs and escalate tickets to Apple engineering to review for corrections. 1(800)275-2273

PS - If you can snag a video of the reproduction of your issue in the instance they might need it for further investigation, it would go a long way.

    Hi BBoiss,

That looks like my last option . In the bug report I filled , I had elaborate videos switching "reduce motion" on/off and still the bug did not get resolved until I restart the device . It is just disappointing that such a visual bug has been in iOS since 8 months now and still is in open state awaiting action . I'll try to escalate the bug ID I filled . Thanks for the reply .

Sure? I was not having it for the last 2 months and suddenly it happened again. The spotlight search box also moved into the taskbar.  I am on 9.3.1

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7601081  That's not the only issue. There are issues with the spotlight search as well as mentioned in the above thread. I have updated to 9.3.2 and the spotlight search still misbehaves :(
