Q: I have a Early 2011 MacBook Pro, with 2-4GB RAM Modules installed, when purchased. Id this upgradeable?

Is a Early MacBook Pro - 2..2 GHz - Intel 17, and a total of (8 GHz) RAM - Comprised of (2), 2-4-1333 GHZ RAM Modules, capable of Upgrading the Total Amount of RAM. (Factory Configured) this way. If so, how do I do/have this done? Would appreciate anyone's help.

All 2011 MBPs will accept up to 16 GB RAM. The best sources of Mac compatible RAM are OWC and Crucial.

Hi,
I have the same MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) with 2x 2GB RAM installed.

On the Apple site they're saying maximum RAM is 2x 4GB RAM.

Kindly reply if it could be upgraded to 16GB or not?

My prior response was correct, all 2011 MBPs will accept 16 GB RAM.

Once a MBP model is released for sale by Apple, they will not update specifications to reflect technological advances.
