Q: Would using bootcamp and installing windows on my macbook pro be exactly the same as using a windows notebook?
I need to use a software (windows based) for stock trading - Saxo Trader 2. My machine is a Macbook Pro, 15 Inch, mid 2012, 16gb RAM. Tried using Parallels and installing windows 10. Saxo Trader 2 is able to install but unable to function properly - hangs often and updates to the software can't be installed. Would using boot camp be better? Would using bootcamp with Windows be the same as using a windows notebook? If I use activate bootcamp, would it affect my stuff in the hard disk? Thanks.
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

At the Application layer, there is no difference. Otherwise at lower levels (hardware/firmware/disks), there are significant differences.
