Q: Nightstand mode on my apple watch switches display off

Hello everyone, i've installed watch os 2.0 without any significant troubles yesterday, everything runs great, however i've got some questions about nightstand mode, when i set my watch to the nightstand mode it turns on display automatically, and i can see watches showing me time and state of charging in horizontal mode, but after 15 seconds the screen turns off, and in order to see the time i have to press on the screen, push the digital crown or friends(turn on/off) buttons, can i somehow make my watch to show me the time all the time, without any other actions. Its logical to always have the display of the watch on, cuz its being charged and its in powersaving mode (the same colour of time as it is in powersaving mode).

I dont think there is anyway to set it to always on. However, a slight tap on table or around the watch will turn it on. It is very sensitive to vibration around it.

Yes, that is what the user guide is saying: https://help.apple.com/watch/#/apd3b4bbe73e

Check the time by your bedside. To see the time, tap the display or lightly nudge Apple Watch. Even nudging or tapping the table might work—try it.

Nightstand has been this way since inception and through out the entire beta cycle.

I came here wondering the exact same thing. It seems very useless to have a nightstand clock that you can't see without reaching over to touch it. I can't imagine that I wouldn't just end up knocking it over or pushing it off the table if I only used one hand, and I don't want to move over to the side of my bed and reach out with one or two hands in the middle of the night.

But it seems that's the way it's designed! It sadly won't replace my regular nightstand clock.
