Pivot tables in Office for Mac
I have installed Office for Mac 2011 on my MacBook Air. Pivot Tables are not opening in Excel. Any ideas as to how I can get it to work?

Unless your question regards problem with OS X showing an incompatibility with Office (or vice versa) it sounds very specific to MS Excel functionality and likely to get more traction on an MS Office Support forum.

I checked those two links. Didn't find anything appropriate.
thats a very specific question. can you explain in a few steps what is going on?
I have received a data file in Excel with Pivot. This file is not opening on my MacBook on which MS Office 2011 for Mac is installed. However on a windows machine the file is opening. All that I wanted to know is - how can I open this file on my Mac?
Ask Microsoft
You can try upgrading to the current version of Office for Mac (2016) or ask Microsoft. Excel is not an Apple product.
I know it is a Microsoft Product. Since people with Mac are on this site, I posted my query here.
