Unread emails but I have empty inbox

That exact thing is happening to me now but I don't worry about it it goes away eventually because it happens to me aaallllll the time if you are worried have a thorough check through your emails just in case look in rubbish and stuff like that hope this helps😉

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

- Delete the mail account from the iPod and reenter the settings

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

What mail account? More than one account?

Can you send messages?

Have someone overtly send you a message.

Since yo can send messages send one to the same account and see if you receive it.

Can you access the account on another device?

Who is the provider? (what is after the @ sign)
