Q: Pages 2.5.5 bugs with iOS 9

I'm using an iPhone 6 with iOS 9 and Pages for iOS version 2.5.5 (1766). After using Pages today, I'm seeing many issues that need to be resolved. I'm not sure how to report these since my iPhone isn't on the public beta.

Updating iCloud documents takes forever.

I'm connected to Wifi. After creating a new document (very simple, text-only), the notice for "Updating" takes forever. I've gone back to add an ellipsis and the update takes minutes to push to iCloud. This isn't the case when making updates on my iPad Air 1 with iOS 9.

Panning around the document doesn't always work

When on the iPhone, panning around either doesn't work at all when the keyboard works, or only works periodically. Currently, I'm having to hit done which hides the keyboard and zooms all the way out. Then I can zoom back in and pan around. However, on occasion it will zoom back to the last point of the document where my curser was, even when I am placing it in another part of the document. Then, I'm back to my issue of panning the document.

Dictation (in Pages) cuts off the last letter when hitting done

I've tried this many times and if the last letter is part of a word or a period, the app removes the last character even if you see it in the dictation preview. I will say "period" and wait a few seconds before clicking done and I see the period there, but it disappears after I confirm it.

Hitting the spacebar twice after dictating doesn't add a period

With the above issue, I've resorted to adding a period manually. However, after a dictated line, hitting the spacebar twice doesn't add a period. It just keeps adding spaces. Even deleting spaces back to the end of the word and hitting the spacebar twice again doesn't add a period. However, if the last line wasn't dictated, I can add periods by hitting the spacebar twice.

Updating iCloud Document: When it says that it is updatin I just exit the app and it finishes when I enter the app again and it is done. Also check if your Wi-Fi or Data is strong.

    Thanks, J-Kuan,

I have found that to help sometimes. I've closed the app a few times and even force-restarted my phone. Eventually, it will finish. My wifi signal is definitely strong.

You can add to your list: Font size indicator doesn't properly reflect the actual font size. In fact, it doesn't change when you "tap" from the default, either larger or smaller. In some instances, going back into text, Bold, Italics and Underline don't respond correctly either. I'm (trying) using pages on IPad Air 2 with IOS 9 and the pages update. I've even removed Pages and re-loaded it. Please get it together Apple. For now, I'm using Microsoft Word for IOS, which is stable and works great.

I've encountered the font size problem, too. If you close the document and then open it, the correct value is displayed. I submitted feedback to Apple on this bug.

As an out of work IT developer I would like to apply for the role of Test team manager for IOS releases.  Seriously, how can the richest company in the world not afford to get extensively used apps like pages tested properly before releasing a new version of the OS.  It is quite obviously, plain and simply, atrocious release management.  Give me the job Apple - I won't let you down.
