How remove the functionality of the ebook that makes it change the page when you click on the right or the left side of a page?

Is it possible to remove the functionality of the ebook that makes it change the page when you click on the right or the left side of a page? I really don't want this function because I want to put another function in the same place.

(Sorry for my english...Normally I speak French :/)

I'm using Ibooks Author v.2.3.
