writing rss feed for podcast
Do I have to write RSS metadata and resubmit through the "Submit a Podcast" link every single time I want to upload an episode? Or can I just submit my "channel," and it will automatically upload each new episode?

You only submit your RSS feed ONE time to Apple.
Then whenever you add new items or make changes to the channel level info - it will automatically update in iTunes.
No need to ever resubmit after you are accepted.
