Ipad 2 stuck on iOS 9 update just after "Slide to upgrade" Screen

Help!

I tried to update my iPad to iOS9 and got stuck at the "slide to upgrade" screen. For some reason my iPad let me through this screen without much of a fuss but is now stuck on the white apple screen just after it.

After "Sliding to upgrade" and entering my password the iPad goes to a white apple screen with a loading bar.

The loading bar gets about a quarter of the way and then the screen goes black and takes me back to the "Slide to upgrade" screen.

I have tried plugging it into my computer but even after entering my password on the iPad iTunes still tells me I need to approve the sync form the iPad, which is obviously not possible because its stuck on a loading screen.

Im all out of options. Any input would help!

Thanks!

Several Possible Solutions for Slide to Upgrade Problem

Here is Apple’s suggested fix: If the Slide to Upgrade screen won't go away after you update to iOS 9 - Apple Support.

Here's another person's suggestion: How to backup photos from bricked iPhone (slide to upgrade) after upgrading to iOS 9.

Here are two YouTube video suggestions you can try:

If you have no success with the above then sign into your iCloud.com page, click on the Find My Phone icon. Click the Devices button, click on your device’s item, then remove if from the list if it is inactive. If your device is active when you click on it, then click on the Erase icon on the bottom right of your device’s displayed window. You should then try this:

Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:

Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.

1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the

other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.

2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds

until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.

* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the

Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,

release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.

3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the

device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,

let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some

charge, and then start with step 2 again.

4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.

When this screen appears you can release the Home button:

5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:

6. Use iTunes to restore the device as New.

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device as New.

Kappy,

Sorry for the confusion. I was making reference to the steps to put the iPad into recovery mode. I successfully disconnected the iPad from my find my iPhone and then put it into recovery mode.

I downloaded iOS 9 on my mac and installed it that way.

The same problem keeps happening with the install. After the slide to upgrade screen the iPad goes to a white apple screen with a loading bar and keeps timing out or something because the screen goes black and then takes me back to the slide to upgrade screen.

The slide to upgrade screen is functional and lets me through. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem and I'm really not sure what would be causing it.

Thanks for your help!
