mac mini default user set up incorrectly...how to fix?

An incorrect user name was entered during the initial setup on my mac mini. How can I go back through the setup process and correct it?

Besides erasing and reinstalling, there isn't a way that will achieve what you want.

Just create a new User in Users & Groups, set the checkbox to allow the new user to administer the Mac, then log in as the new user and delete the incorrect one.

Thanks, Barney. The missing piece for me was to log in as the new user to delete the original one. I hate getting old and forgetting these things...and I miss software on CD's too (but not floppies).
