Sep 23, 2015 6:53 AM in response to swiserby Eric Root,Try going to your hard drive level Library/Internet Plug-Ins and move the plug-in to your Desktop. Relaunch Safari and test. If that solves the problem, delete the plug-in from your Desktop. If the same, return it to where you got it.

Sep 23, 2015 1:09 PM in response to swiserby Linc Davis,You installed (perhaps intentionally) the "OpinionSquare" or "Premier Opinion" spyware. I haven't tested it and I don't know what it does, apart from causing Safari to crash. If you know about it and want to keep it for some reason, refer to its developer for support. If you want to remove it, first back up all data, then do as below.
Step 1
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder named "LaunchDaemons" should open. Inside it there may be files with either of these names:
OpinionSquare.plist
PremierOpinion.plist
Move those files to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
Don't delete the LaunchDaemons folder or anything else inside it. It's normal for that folder to exist and have contents.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You may not see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Step 2
Open the Applications folder and look for a subfolder named either "OpinionSquare" or "PremierOpinion". Drag that subfolder to the Trash and empty. A shortcut to opening the Applications folder is to press the key combination shift-command-A in the Finder.
