Error 3905 and 3902 and inability to connect Apple TV to Wi-Fi network

I am having issues connecting my Apple TV to my Wi-Fi network. To be clear, I have 2 apple TVs and have had them for a few years. In the last few days, only one of them has given me alternative error messages. Error 3905 at first and now error 3092 or no error message but still refuses to connect to the network.

I connect to the internet using a Sagecom 2864 modem with Bell Canada. Every other device in the house can join the network. Only one of my two Apple TVs is causing problems. I also have a Netgear EX6200 wifi range extender in the house but it isn't used for the Apple TV subject to what follows below. The Apple TV that is having problems is the one that is closest to the Sagecom modem and there don't appear to be any interference issues.. SIgnal strength is excellent but for the last 4-5 days it has been giving me the 2 errors mentioned above. The netgear wifi extender is rather far away from the problematic Apple TV but still shows up as a possible network. Apple TV will connect to the netgear extended network ( Network name_2GEXT) but since it is so far away the signal strength and streaming are lousy. Given that I can connect the problematic Apple TV using the Netgear extender(but unsatisfactorily because of distance), I assume that there's nothing wrong with the Apple TV device but there must be a connectivity issue with the main network. When I try to automatically connect using the wi-fi configuration tab both the configure IP and configure DNS come back blank when I try to connect to the main network. If I look at that same tab when I have connected using the Netgear extender_2GEXT the IP address, subnet mask, router address and DNS all appear. I have no idea what they are for the main network or I'd try entering them manually. I'm truly not tech savvy at all so I'd appreciate any guidance but worded for a tech neophyte. I've tried restarting and resetting the APple TV and restarting the modem with no resolution to the issue. While connected to the extended network, I checked and the software is up to date. Thanks in advance.

(At least you have error codes!)

Your insight about the location of your AppleTVs helped me. I also have two devices. I thought I was hosed! I moved around the modem & router so I could (try) to use the A-TV in one room and lost access to the other. Turns out it was just the one I couldn't use in the first place.

My set up is this: AT&T Universal (Pace) Modem connected to a D-Link Router within 12 feet of the AppleTV that doesn't want to connect. Until just a couple days ago, I could hold the router within sight of the A-TV and get a connection and stream all day long. I would have to go through the gyrations again the next time I wanted to stream. Today, nothing, NOTHING will get things to connect. This includes: rebooting the router, rebooting both the modem & router, rebooting all THREE devices, manually entering the router (cannot find the router -- just sits there 'searching'). When I 'Reset' the AppleTV do a soft-boot, the only icons displayed are 'Computer' and 'Settings'. I am typing this on the Apple Mini attached to the same wifi network in the same room as the AppleTV. All other devices are on the network.

Apple, what's happening with the (2nd Generation) AppleTVs? This is very frustrating and a huge time-sink!
