Q: Ipad Mini cannot connect to Itunes after frozen because of IOS 9 update

I tried updating my Ipad and it got frozen to the 'Slide to Upgrade' screen. I searched for solutions and found that I should connect my device to Itunes. However, my device has never been connected to any Itunes on a PC and now that I have tried connecting it, it does not show up in the device list. Please help. Everytime I reboot my device to try and connect it to Itunes, it still goes back to the 'Slide to Upgrade' screen. It had been stuck there for almost a day now and I am running hopeless on how to make my device work again.

I still have no luck. Can it somehow because the cable I am using is not the original one? The original was already not functional so I bought a replacement.
