I have updated my iphone 6 to IO9 and all the email address' I had on my phone are still there and active. I have an exchange email address, a @gmail.com address a @icloud.com address, but the one that is giving me a problem is the @btconnect.com which is pop3 account I believe. I am running 12.3 itunes on my hp laptop with windows 10! All seemed to work fine until IO9 and now the mail icon has over 500 emails. When I go into each account there is less that 10 in any of the email address' . I have, by a process of elimination tracked the bt connect account as the offending account by turning the account off. The message fall back to where they should be. Turn it on and the mail icon fills back up to 500+.
I have taken the account off the iphone and reinstalled it. I have put it back on and the same result occurs. I have taken the account off again, restarted the iphone, reinstalled the account, same result. Strangely my ipad has the same accounts and works perfectly, not 500+ unread messages.
I even tried a restore from a back up, all this resulted in was a loss of my text message threads, same IO9..... which is where this all stems from I am sure
Does anyone have any ideas?
