Q: failure to update to IOS 9

Recently updated software to IOS 9, however during the process the ohone seems to crash.The phone gets the the 'slide to update' page when nothing happens and you are unble to use the phone completely.

We have tried to reboot the phone by holding down the home and lock button at the same time, this then brings us to and update completed screen saying the iphone was updated sucessfully, theres is just a few more steps to follow and to press continue. when doing so the slide to upgrade screen appears and this is where we are unable to use the phone. When sliding the touch screen doesnt respond.

we have tried this process a number of times and have not been able to use the phone around 12 hours now.
