MacBook Pro 13,3 Retina A1425 memory upgrade and battery replacement?

Hello, I'm a owner of MacBook Pro Retina 13.3 inch, model A1425, part number Z0PW0000Q, early 2013, and I have two questions.

1. Is there possible to make a memory upgrade? I currently have 8Gb DDR3 1600Mhz and I think is more than enough for the moment, but is there a possibility to go for 16Gb of RAM or more?

2. I just have 18 cycles on my battery but if is breaking, is there a possibility to replace the battery easy, at home? Or is glued on the body as I read on some other internet pages?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 13,3 8Gb DDR3 512 SSD Intel HD 4000

That's not quite true.

Third party batteries are available.

And they can be replaced by users. But if you're not the sort of person that can build a new computer out of parts that are currently in your closets, or ever tried to turn your mother's vacuum cleaner into a jet airplane as a child, then you should probably just leave it to Apple.

According to everymac.com:

By default, the Retina Display MacBook Pro models all have memory soldered onboard. None of these models have RAM that can be upgraded at all after the time of initial purchase.

The now discontinued 13-Inch "Late 2012" and "Early 2013" MacBook Pro models could not be upgraded beyond the stock 8 GB of RAM, period, either at the time of purchase or otherwise.

It only takes 10-15 minutes to take the battery out. Apple maddeningly makes you have to use T5, T6, and T7 Torx drivers, along with a pentalobe driver ($10 on Amazon) to do it, but it sounds like it would not be difficult for you.

I can't vouch for the product, but it's a helluva lot cheaper than getting Apple to do it.

Pleasant hacking to you!

No.Ram is soldered to the logic board and cannot be altered.

The battery should be replaced by an Apple Store technician or by a AASP technician. It is NOT user replaceable and it is glued in place. Besides there are no third party batteries available for your MBP.

Ciao.

Well I'm quite deep into electronics. I have my own small lab set up in a room of mine, full of equipment, starting from oscilloscopes, signal generators, welding station, multimeters, you know it.. In fact when I was just 10 years old I was building pirate FM stations. However here is another problem. Apple used a strange type of RAM. is not a standard ram module, and it has pins welded on the mobo. I could easily unsolder those but I can't find new parts. Also I'm not sure if I can weld the new RAM as good as they did. And if even a soldering is colt, there you go.. lots of problems. They are quite reliable and I want to leave it that way. For another info, I used to upgrade memory in iPhones. But it was much simpler. A small number of pins to solder in.
So .. I'm not that kind of newbie. I do agree with the battery part. If I can find a third party I'm pretty sure they can be replace it glued or not on the case.

My main concern is finding new RAM (16Gb or 32) and making solid weldings.

Cheers...
