It was a phishing attempt. It didn't originate with Apple. Details are:
Received: from na01-bn1-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com (mail-bn1bon0062.outbound.protection.outlook.com. [157.56.111.62])
However, this raises the question as to how they were able to identify my recent purchase of a 6S to exploit. Hopefully Apple has identified whatever vulnerability and eliminated it.
