Q: idvd on my mac

     I just purchased a new iMac 20.5 computer . I upgraded to fusion drive got 16 gb of ram , I had apple do data migration from old iMac to new . I had everything transferred . to the new mac . I was excited to start using idvd to make some dvds for family of our trips ( we cruise a lot) that they can watch on tv  .

now i try to make my first project and none of my new photos or photos from iPhoto are showing under photo in idvd.

i read here its not compatible with the new operating system . Why the heck have it on the computer if you cannot see the photos . I am really ticked

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

    You can add your own folder the the iDVD/Media/Photos window so it's easy to add photos to the folder and then get them into iDVD where you need them:

    Highlight001.jpg

    Just drag your folder into the window shown in this screenshot.
