Q: iOS 9 music app won't play albums in order

IPhone 5s running iOS 9.0 (13A344)

After the 9 upgrade, I can't seem to turn off shuffle in the music app.

If I open an album and click the first song it plays that song, then jumps around the in album list randomly.

If I open the album and click on the forward arrow on the album cover sometimes it plays the first song, sometimes it jumps to a random song, any way around the album plays randomly

 

How can I get this to work properly???  It's driving me insane.

    Howdy RainCityChick,

    Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

     

    I see from your post that music being played in the Music app on your iPhone after updating to iOS 9 is shuffled.  Please make sure that the shuffle icon is not selected by opening the Now Playing window as shown below.

     

         

    When you play a song, you see the Miniplayer at the bottom of the screen.

    Or you can tap or swipe up on the Miniplayer to see the Now Playing screen and controls. Tap the   in the upper-left corner or swipe down to close the Now Playing screen.
