Q: iOS 9.0 is Garbage
Alright so here's the issue:
I updated to iOS 9.0, by mistake. I did not realize that it was out I had planned on installing 8.4 but I didn't read the prompts as I started the download, that's my fault. Normally I do not download the "x.0" of a build because they never work correctly anyways, iOS 9 is no exception.
Upon completing the download, I was greeted by the bug that apparently is popping up everywhere. Yes that's right, I was stuck at "slide to upgrade." So after searching online for about 30 minutes for an easy fix I discovered that my only solution was to restore a backup of my iPhone that I had previously. Fine. I generally back up my iPhone whenever I sync just incase so that shouldn't be too difficult.
I then discovered that I was unable to restore my iPhone because "Find my iPhone" was turned on. So after then spending two hours trying to locate a way to turn off "Find my iPhone" I discovered that the only way to do so was through settings. Which I couldn't access without finishing the update. Which was broken. Which meant I had to restore my iPhone to a previously backed up version. Which meant I needed to turn off "Find my iPhone." Etc etc etc.
So now my only solution was to do a factory reset and then restore a previously backed up version of my iPhone. After waiting four hours for the entire process to finish I was greeted with the same 'slide to upgrade" bug. I repeated the long process only to find the same bug again. I then searched Google for a way to restore my iPhone to a previous software instead of the newest but discovered that there is no way to do so. So now my only solution is to setup my iPhone like it is a brand new piece of hardware and lose ALL my contacts and ALL my other data that I thought I had saved because I would backup my iPhone.
So I guess the actual question here is, how the **** do I fix my iPhone 5?
iPhone 5, iOS 9
