Q: Notes do not sync from iPhone to Mac

Notes that I create on my iPhone don't show up on my Mac. Actually, I have different notes on my Mac than on my phone! There are 5 notes on the Mac and 3 notes on the phone with an intersection of one. On both devices, I am talking about the notes belonging to my iCloud account.

What I've done so far:

- turn notes sync off and on on both devices for the iCloud account

- trashed the Notes container on the Mac.

No avail so far. Any ideas?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

What notes show at iCloud.com? That should indicate whether it a device or a computer problem.
