Q: logic not in purchased apps

Hi, Logic isn't showing in my purchased apps as it only lists iphone or ipad apps. How can I download it to my new computer? Many thanks, Jack

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Open the Mac App Store from the Dock or Applications folder, log in with an Apple ID previously used to download Logic, and click on the Purchases tab.

Hi Niel
thanks for your reply, this worked for another couple of apps but Logic not here either. I have only ever had one apple ID so it can't be that I'm using the wrong account. It is listed in my ITunes purchases in the receipt section but I can't find it anywhere else.

iPhone and iPad apps do not show up under the Purchase tab in the Mac App Store application on your Mac....

You are looking under the iTunes app and not the Mac App Store app.....

Thanks Art of Sound, Niel pointed that out which was a great help unfortunately it's not there either.
A couple of other purchased apps are there but not Logic unfortunately. I purchased it 2 or 3 years ago would it expire?

No.. they don't expire..

What's likely happened is you are signed into the Mac App Store using a different Apple ID to the one you used when you originally bought Logic Pro X... or Logic Pro 9

Thanks Art of Sound but I've only had 1 Apple id and it is listed on the purchase secion on my itunes account with said Apple ID.

I have also checked, and it's not in hidden purchases. I'm resigning myself to the fact that I'll have to buy Logic X. Not for a while though...

As you say it is listed under your purchases in iTunes... but not in the Mac App Store.. which is very odd to say the least....

Contact Apple directly and ask for their assistance..

There may be an issue with your account so they will need to take a look/see and rectify the problem....
